Lynchburg BBQ Fest (Acrylic 5x7) *SOLD*

I set out at the annual Jack Daniels BBQ Championship in Lynchburg and painted this last Saturday. Can you spot the UT Vols fans? A bit chilly and overcast but the sun was starting to pop out around noon.

what's wrong here??

As Sandra painted the Dalton (GA) depot, this white van parked directly between her and her subject. He smiled, acknowledged us, and pulled into this particular (one of 15) parking space. It was too incredibly funny to be upsetting. What are people thinking????

Waiting by BJ Wright

10"x8" oil on RayMar panel, painted en plein air, alla prima on September 20th 2009 (completed at 1:05pm)...$85 including shipping...The annual "Battle of Tunnel Hill" Civil War reenactment weekend was rainy, muddy and overcast. But that didn't dampen the spirits of the artists who painted onsite both days. Contact me for purchase at beejw@charter.net.

"New Love"

About This Painting:
I have been trying to get out more and work on location. It is alla prima (all at once).
I had set up near my driveway and then found out I was in pile of ants. Not fun! Had to get some ant killer and relocate, but I didn't want to change the view. Got close enough, and it seems to have turned out alright!

Media: watercolor
Size: 5x7
price: $100.00

About This Painting:
I painted this doble hibiscus yesterday in the late afternoon out in my yard. It was done alla prima (all at once).
I used watercolor this time, which is not my usual medium. But I hope to start using watercolors more often. I love the watermarks and cool effects you get sometimes, like little surprises!

Ready to frame
Media: Watercolor
Size: 5 in X 7 in (12.7 cm X 17.8 cm)
Price: $85 USD
