At Day's End by BJ Wright

10"x8" oil on gallery wrap canvas...$85 including shipping...After painting en plein air at Chickamauga (GA) battlefield last Summer, I snapped a few parting photos before packing up. It was late and the clouds foretold a coming shower. There is a bit of glare on the lower left corner.

Daily Painting 1060 A day in the Gardens Plein Air Alla Prima

SOLD Its been one of those weeks, the fridge died Friday and I have been trying to keep food cold and find a new fridge that will fit where the old one was. Its kind of a small hole and the doors into the house aren't that big either. Finally found one Sunday and got it on Monday.

It sure felt good getting out and painting today at Heathcote Botanical Gardens. It was lovely out and afterwards one of my fellow painters treated me to lunch at Mangrove Matties!

The painting is 8 x 10, oil and mainly painting knife, it has lots of texture. $200.

Spoonbill, landscape with natural spring

"Spoonbill"

About This Painting:
Went out to the Adams Ranch for an annual artist's days paint out. This is one of the many natural springs that flow through the ranch. The water is clear and very turquise. this photo doesn't pick up the colors in the painting very well, but the blues are a little more of a greenish hue.

I added the spoonbill when I got home, I had seen it flying overhead while out painting, way too cool! (Spoonbills have a shorter neck than flamingos, and they range from white and soft light pinks, to dark pinks, almost a red color, and somtimes they have yellow accents too. Very strange looking bird, with a flat duck like bill. Very pretty colors though!)

The painting continues on the sides which are close to 2 inches thick, so framing is optional.

Media: acrylic on gallery wrap canvas
Size: 10 in X 10 in (25.4 cm X 25.4 cm)
Price: $300 USD
