The
wind was getting strong when I did this one, that is Spanish moss
growing from the oak branches. The Florida holly has its berries now
and is very pretty.
The painting is oil on masonite, 5 x 7 inches. $100.

1523 Tropical Blue Bamboo Plein Air Alla Prima
I
painted this today at the Heathcote Botanical Gardens in the Gloria
Moore Memorial garden. It was perfect today, not too hot or cold. I
took a few liberties with the plant positions, in real life there is a
nice screw palm that I have painted before. Its right in front of the
bamboo. I was enjoying doing the in and out lights and darks of the
bamboo that I didn't want to cover my work with another big plant.
Its 8 x 10 inches, oil on masonite.

1522 Windy Day in the Savannas Plein Air Alla Prima
Very
nice and breezy day, the Florida Hollies are full of bright red
berries. I painted this at the Savannas Recreational area, it looks so
cool right now, lots of tiny wild flowers in the grass. The painting
is 8 x 10 inches, oil on masonite.
