1542 Farmer Brown's Potting Shed Plein Air Alla Prima

I painted here on Tuesday, just getting around to posting it tonight.  I had a lot of fun painting it, I kept finding more little details to put into the painting.  The plants on the left are pineapples and there is a papaya tree in the center.

After I painted I was taken on a tour of the garden and got to sample some kale, nasturtiums, violas and various other vegies.  I have had kale cooked before and didn't like it but I liked it raw.   Bought some nice rhubarb, lettuce and Swiss Chard.  Its all pretty much eaten up already.  I made a rhubarb crunch, there is just one little piece of that left and a bit of the lettuce.

The painting is oil on masonite, 8 x 10 inches, $250.

1540 Spring Vista at White City Park Plein Air Alla Prima

I painted this today at White City Park, I had a good time there like always.  Lots of birds and big fat squirrels.  The squirrels are very tame, they wanted some handouts.  I saw a lot of fish, they were up near the surface sunning themselves.

The tree in the back is an oak,  it was golden in the sun with its new leaves and blossoms.

The painting is 8 x 10 inches, oil on masonite. $200.

1539 Morning at the Brown Family Farm Plein Air Alla Prima

I had a nice time painting here yesterday, its a lovely place to visit with pretty scenery and nice animals and birds.  I got an enormous cabbage and some nice oranges, they let you sample fruits or vegies too.  All their fruits and vegetables are organic and they also have chicken and duck eggs.  I will be going there to paint again.

Very foggy early yesterday, the farm is on 1871 Jenkins road,  I went right past could hardly see the numbers.

The painting is 8 x 10 inches, oil on masonite. $200.
