'Afternoon on the Marsh' 9x12 pastelThis painting is from a plein air painting trip I took last fall to Hunting Island State Park. This wonderful park is on the South Carolina coast and has wonderful beaches, forests and marshes. For this painting I set my easel up on the boardwalk that leads into the marsh. The afternoon light just intensified the wonderful colors of the marsh grasses. I will be going back to the South Carolina coast to paint at the end of the month and I can't wait!
