Paintings from Florida- Selby Gardens

I enjoyed painting in Sarasota during January with several artist friends. This painting was done one morning outside the gates of the Selby Botanical Gardens. I think the house is used for an office now for the Gardens. When we arrived, the fog was really heavy. Setting up in the parking lot, we blocked in the main shapes and painted the sky a light gray. As soon as the fog lifted, we punched up the colors where the sun was hitting. Lots of fun! This painting is 12 x 16 oil on panel. Email me if interested in purchasing: Durind@Durinda.com, although, I have to say, it's one of my favorites too.
