Dawn - study #221
Painted from life 1/16/2010 This morning the sky was this wonderful coral and blue, still somewhat dark I made it my warm up study for the day. I used Cobalt Blue in place of my normal French Ultramarine and Holbein's Scarlet Lake for the suns glow
Just gorgeous! That same sky appears in the afternoons toward the West from my kitchen window. Thanks for sharing the paint pigment colors you used in this painting.

Coming south from Chattanooga, TN, on I-75, take exit #345 (Ringgold/Tunnel Hill). At the end of the ramp, turn right (south) onto Hwy 41. Drive 3.9 miles --- watch the speed limits, THEY MEAN IT. Turn left onto Oak Street. Stay straight for .3 mile. Event parking is on the right.
Coming north from Atlanta, GA, on I-75, take exit # 336 (Dalton/Rocky Face). At the bottom of the ramp, turn left (north) onto Hwy 41. Drive 5.0 miles. Turn right onto Oak Street. Stay straight for .3 mile. Event parking is on the right.

Last year we had 11 plein air painters and this year we'd like to have many more. The event is held during the annual "Battle of Tunnel Hill" Civil War reenactment.
