Its plein air, alla prima, oil 11 x 14. It was a beautiful day today not too hot or cold. The gardens are wonderful now, tons of flowers, its very hard to choose what to paint there is so much there.

Coming south from Chattanooga, TN, on I-75, take exit #345 (Ringgold/Tunnel Hill). At the end of the ramp, turn right (south) onto Hwy 41. Drive 3.9 miles --- watch the speed limits, THEY MEAN IT. Turn left onto Oak Street. Stay straight for .3 mile. Event parking is on the right.

Last year we had 11 plein air painters and this year we'd like to have many more. The event is held during the annual "Battle of Tunnel Hill" Civil War reenactment. I love the play of light and shadows in this one. Very nice! Wish I could see this place.
Thanks much BJ! I wish you could see it too, any artist would love it, flowers all over and little ponds. They are making it bigger, I can't wait!
