We are a group of plein air artists living in the Southern USA. We will post images of paintings (for sale), upcoming workshops, paintouts, and general information concerning painting en plein air.
This is one of my earlier plein air paintings. I did three paintings of the dairy cows on this country road. It wasn't so bad while I did this one very early. But then the cows came up near me . . . It was smelly, had lots of flies, and I was dripping in sweat by 8:00 am! I tried to shoo them off, but they hung out next to the fence.
Needless to say, I learned to set up in the shade, and I have not gone near the dairy to paint again! LOL.

I did these today with the Plein Air Painters of the Treasure Coast, at the Village Shops of Vero Beach, we had a great turnout. Very hot today with no-see-ums. My bug spray worked luckily!
I am glad I painted it when I did, because this old tree was taken out and now a huge house is in it's place. Sad face here.

I had fun with the colors and the interesting shapes in this little piece of the inlet. This inlet is where the inter-coastal waterway meets the ocean. It makes interesting currents in the water as the salt and fresh water mix.
Big Plein Air, I did it today at the Fort Pierce Inlet State Park. It was gorgeous today, lovely clouds all morning. I had a great time painting with fellow Daily Painter Fawn McNeil and some of our other friends from the Plein Air Painters of the Treasure Coast. Its 12 x 16, oil, all painting knife This painting is unavailable at the present time.
