It was early on the first day of battle. Tents were set up at Fort Keys and campfires were smouldering. Reenactors were beginning to stir, packing away night equipment, getting ready for the afternoon battle.

I like the light creeping in. Pretty soon it's going to be hot and smell like black powder.
There definitely was the smell of black powder. The field was so dry because of the drought, there were 2 fire trucks standing by - just in case. But even with the cannons spitting fire and the campfires, everything went just fine.
Nice shadows on the grass, I am glad nothing caught fire.
