Daily Painting 359 SOLD Plein Air On the North Fork of the Saint Lucie River
SOLD Its oil, knife and brush. 8 x 10. Its plein air or from life, the first plein air of the season with the Plein Air Painters of the Treasure Coast. I had a nice turn-out, about 6 of us were there. This one gives me a lot of memories, its by the boat ramp of White City Park. My dad and I would put our boat in here and head one way or the other down the river. We would see lots of turtles, birds, and gators. It was a lot of fun. $300.

This really reminds me of visiting my aunt and uncle at the fishing village they ran in Deland. Lots of good memories !! Thanks for that. And I love the painting !
Thank you BJ, it was so pretty there yesterday, lots of places to paint, everywhere you turn there is a view.
Your colors are so uplifting! I can't wait to try again on Tuesday!
Oh good! I am looking forward to tuesday too! I almost always put a bit of cadmium orange light into the lower palm fronds, sooner or later they get some orange on them in real life.
Cad orange is a wonderful color! I've been told by several people that it shouldn't be on my palette, but it's everywhere you look - if you just take the time to look. Apparently you DO LOOK and see it like I do.
Don't listen to negative nellies! hehehe! With painting anything you want goes. Anything the negative nellies say can be countered with someone else's rule. I have heard don't use purple, blue, brown or black for shadows. (from different people) I have used all of those including other colors. People have looked at my palms and asked why they have orange on the fronds, I tell them go look! I have seen palms almost totally orange. Most of the people who don't see all the colors paint only from photos.
