Florida Vacation Sketches
D, Kitty and I headed south last week to St. Augstine FL for some R&R and to visit my folks. The temperatures were lower than Nashville's 100+ but the humidity made up the difference. The ocean water felt mighty good and I caught a few waves. Some St. Augustine galleries featured some mighty fine local artists who really capture the spirit of the North Florida scenes. Here are a few of my watercolor sketches.

They look great! You all should have driven down to Ft. Pierce for a visit!
I love the loose watercolor sketches! Glad to hear from you.
Thanks. I just looked at the map and Ft. Pierce is way down there near Okechobee! I just went as far south as Hastings. Did a watercolor of some farm land there.
Really nice watercolor sketches!
Wonderful clean colors! What type paper is that? It's so pristine. I can just hear the sound of the waves and feel the sand exfoliating my bare feet.

The bottom one is on Cottman Watercolor Paper (8x5) and the others are in my Aquabee Super Deluxe Sketch Book. (9x12)
