Nubbin's Gator, Daily Painting

Nubbin's Gator
8 x 10 inches
Acrylic on canvas board

I really struggled with the rocks: didn't want them to be the focus of the painting, but they were a strong visual for adding depth. I think they turned out alright. The gator is one of the largest I have seen, he cought a few things and went on shore, wow, am I glad for the rocks!

Beautiful work. But be careful of the 'gators! We don't want to read about you in the newspaper - unless it's because of your artwork.

Can gators climb up the rocks? If they ever do I will be the first one out of the way! smile.
