painting in Tunnel Hill on Tuesday

This is Cathy's second painting of the day. It was afternoon and the sun was right overhead. She's catching on really fast. She works in acrylics but she knows what it takes to keep them workable in the sun and wind. You can see her website at http://www.cathycooksey.com/.

Sandra works at capturing the light in the trees overhanging the creek. She did a great job!

You all look great! From what I can see of those tiny photos of your paintings they look super. Cathy you look like you have been doing plein air forever, you are a natural.

Looks like you all nailed those values. Looks good from here in LaVergne TN.

Lori and Chris,
Thanks ever so much for your kind comments and encouragement. We've decided to do some 'mini-paintouts' twice a month and invite other plein air painters to join us. Fun, fun.

We're proud of Cathy for accepting the challenge of plein air. Be sure to visit her website.

Thanks again. :o)
