8" x 10" oil on canvas covered hardboard painted en plein air, alla prima - $85 including shipping - SOLD, thanks Jo ! -
This little shack sits on the edge of the meadow where the annual Civil War reenactment is held in Tunnel Hill, GA. It's used mostly for storage now, but it comes alive during the battle with horses tied to the hitching rail and Yankee soldiers on the porch awaiting orders.

I like the composition on this one. The warm colors in the field leads the eye right to the little shack.
Maybe I will try a land scape today.
Thanks for the nice compliment. I appreciate it. I'll be watching your blog for a plein air landscape (no pressure) :)
I know it's really hot here in the South. It's almost July and painting en plein air takes a hardy soul, an iron will and strong sweat glands. But the results are really rewarding.
I agree, it is a nice composition, the painting has a lovely mood too it too.
